Every piece has a story
In this over-connected digital world, everything feels so disconnected.
The beauty of holding something in our hands is a rare experience.
So when I stepped through the doors of this quaint gallery in Glebe, I felt transformed.
Branch 3D presents beautiful handmade ceramics and vintage items.
All hand-picked by Sarah Nolan.
“You can touch it, feel it, and discover things you weren’t expecting.”
Her lifetime dream came true in October 2015 when she opened the doors of Branch 3D.
Sarah is opening up the art world, to the everyday person.
Starting from $5, and humbly working its way up, you’ll discover pieces that can easily be justified with any wallet size.
(Well, anything beautiful can be financially justified ☺)
As I walk through the space: Time. Slows. Down.
I begin to notice tiny details in each handmade craft.
The perfection of imperfection.
“You can call it what you want: a shop, a gallery space, a museum!”
And like a live art exhibition, it’s constantly changing.
Each piece has a personality. And the vintage items are quirky, unique and perfect for giving a gift to remember.
“It’s about having a new experience, discovering artists and makers, and making it more accessible and affordable,” says Sarah.
Her collection makes me appreciate the light and joy that art brings to our world.
Because every item has a story.
A beautiful past.
And when we take ownership of the art, we become its custodian.
“I hope people experience something they haven’t in a retail environment.”
And Sarah’s final words?
“It’s more interesting than browsing the internet.” ☺
